Owner

Tate has been working as a dog handler for the past 9 years. He worked for various dog daycares before setting up Hounds Around in September 2019. Since then the business has grown from strength to strength developing services and always improving and striving for excellent care for all our pack.

Dog Walker

Dani has been caring for the Hounds Around pack for over a year and is now a qualified canine first aider. She is absolutely brilliant with the dogs and a pleasure to work along side.

We are often looking for flexible/part time staff.

Experience isnt nessasary as the role will include paid baviour based training which can take between 2 and 6 months and the role could potentially lead to a full time work opportunity and the opertunity to take a canine first aid course.

The job role includes collecting and dropping off dogs, transporting them safely and securely. Washing and bathing dogs (equipment will be provided). Walking between 1 & 3 dogs at once on and off leads. Feeding and caring for them in their homes. Being responsible for setting alarms, locking doors and holding keys. Providing excellent customer service and occasionally answering emails or phone calls. There is also potential for dog sitting work.

The requirements for the role are,
You will need your own vehicle and have a full UK drivers license and be able to provide proof of insurance.

You need to have a passion for working with and learning about dogs. You need to be a person who enjoys being outdoors in all weather's and have the ability and correct clothing to work outdoors in all weather conditions. You need to be based in the Harlow area. You will also need to be registered or to register as self employed.

The work hours are flexible between 8am and 4pm and could suit someone needing to work around school times as I mainly need help in the mornings. Starting wage is £9 per dog you walk. Potentially you can walk up to 4 dogs once trained to do so.

You must be able to provide two references upon request, one from a previous employer and the other a character reference that is not from a family member.
